Cafés Silveira was born in 1957 by the hand of one man, Manuel Nabeiro Silveira. It all started during the dictatorship period in Portugal when smuggling coffee over the border between Portugal and Spain was a common way of living in Campo Maior.
Mr. Silveira started roasting the coffee by hand with a small wood-burning roaster. Through over the years of improvement of the roasting process, Mr. Silveira managed to succeed in one of the most competitive sectors in Portugal. He managed to grow the company nationally and abroad.
The secret of choosing, roasting and blending, still is well kept within the family to the present day.
Currently, we have 6 employees on the operations, 10 national salesmen. Our facilities in Campo Maior have the production capacity of 4000kg/day of roasted packed coffee.
