The cellar, Adega Vila Flor (AVL), was founded in 1962 and is located north-east of Portugal. The winery has the most modern winemaking technology and skilled professionals capable of developing high quality wine. The winery receives each year about 2 million kg of grapes harvested in vineyards framed on the territory (DOC) wines of the Douro. The grapes of indigenous origin (varieties from the Middle Ages), are essentially the following varieties: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão and Muscat. These varieties give rise to wines with a unique complexity and richness, characteristics of Douro wines.
